My golden vegetable soup is made with 24 carrots.

Playing it safe sounds comforting, doesn’t it? There’s a certain appeal to sticking with the familiar: the same job, the same soup, the same predictable evenings. It’s cosy, reassuring, and, frankly, far less exhausting than facing the unknown. Yet, while safety blankets us in the short term, they often come with hidden costs.
